Guadua bamboo pole Ø 9–11 cm x 200 cm
Product detailed description
Guadua angustifolia, also known as Guadua bamboo, is a tropical bamboo species with a large diameter originating from South America. This construction bamboo has exceptional load-bearing capacity (MOE 17,859 N/mm²), making it the number one choice among visionary builders and architects specializing in eco-friendly and sustainable construction worldwide.
CHARACTERISTICS
Guadua bamboo poles have minimal tapering. The diameter decreases by only about 2.5 cm over a 6 m long pole.
Guadua angustifolia poles are usually very straight and easy to paint after sanding.
All bamboo species tend to crack lengthwise along the pole. This is caused by fluctuations in atmospheric humidity and temperature where used and cannot be completely prevented. However, these cracks do not affect the mechanical properties of bamboo.
Guadua bamboo is among the strongest bamboo species in the world, making it ideal for construction projects.
COMMON USES
Throughout history, Guadua bamboo has been used in South America for building houses, bridges, and structures.
These bamboo poles are excellent for cladding, crafts, furniture, fencing, musical instruments, etc.
Guadua angustifolia is also suitable for engineered products such as plywood, laminated panels, and beams.
