Application of OSMO UV-Protection Oil, Coloured

Finished surface in 2 days, 2 coats

1. Apply the first coat to dry, sanded, clean, untreated wood, approx. 55 ml/m².

2. “Application errors” can be corrected for up to 15 minutes after the first coat while the surface is still wet.

3. Drying time approx. 10–12 hours (under normal conditions of approx. 23 °C / 50% relative humidity). At lower temperatures or higher humidity, the drying time will be longer. Allow to dry with sufficient ventilation.

4. Apply the second coat, approx. 55 ml/m².

5. Drying time approx. 12 hours. See point 3 for conditions.

Application notes

• apply to wood without any previous surface treatment (with another coating), or completely sand off the existing coating – 2 coats

• when renovating with the same oil-based coating (Osmo) – apply 1 coat (without sanding) to the cleaned surface

• RECOMMENDATION: carry out a test application before use – order, for example, one or more sample sachets to select the correct shade and test the application method.

Any cloth soaked with this product must be stored immediately after use in an airtight container (risk of spontaneous combustion).

Gloss level: semi-matt

Coverage: approx. 18 m² / 1 l (1 coat, depending on the condition of the wood). The value refers to a smooth, sanded surface. Other surfaces may result in differences in coverage.

Coverage of a sample sachet: 2 coats for approx. 20 × 30 cm (depending on the substrate)
